A 26-year-old man was given a verbal caution for possession of cannabis.

Officers also arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of drugs possession following a stop check.

Inspector Steven Brookes from Rotherham South Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Yesterday saw a number of resources deployed to the Maltby area to proactively seek out those committing crime in the area.

“We executed a number of warrants and made some good arrests for drugs offences, demonstrating we will take robust action with those found in possession of illegal substances.

“In addition, we carried out high visibility patrols in hotspot areas for antisocial behaviour and were joined by officers from partner organisations.”

A number of searches were also conducted in relation to locating individuals wanted for a variety of offences.

Insp Brookes continued: “I anticipate that there will be further days of action across the south of Rotherham and indeed, across the whole town, as we commit to stamping out criminality in all its forms.”

Anyone wishing to report a crime should call police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
