Armed robbers target Eastwood travel agents

Police are hunting armed robbers who burst into a travel agents in Eastwood and demanded money.

A man wearing a hood walked into the business on Nottingham Road shortly after 5pm last night, Friday, November 27 and forced staff to open the rear doors of the property to allow three accomplices to enter.

The men threatened workers with a suspected weapon concealed in a bag before making off with money and a Michael Kors handbag which belonged to one of the victims.

The man who entered via the front door is described as average build and is about 5 ft 7’’ tall.

He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, a dark top with a body warmer and was carrying a black and white carrier bag.

The other men are described as between 5ft 5ins and 6ft tall.

They were wearing black clothing and hoods tied around faces and at least two were wearing gloves. They spoke with what is thought to be a local accent.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police on 101 referencing incident 609 of November 27.
