Archie’s wine bar to open in Worksop

Archie’s wine bar on Bridge Street, opposite the Civic Square, will officially open on Wednesday 19th September.

With comfortable leather seats and wine barrels for tables, the bar is sophisticatedly designed and can seat up to 30 people.

The idea to set up a new wine bar in Worksop, was conceived a year ago.

It has taken just four months to fit the whole unit and inspiration for the business’ name came from the owner’s Jack Russel dog, called Archie.

Manager of Archie’s, Sarah Oliver said: “All of the feedback we’ve had from people walking past has been great. I can’t believe the positivity.”

“Archie’s is a place where people can come and relax, whether that be after work or if they are stopping off to go to the cinema.”

She added Archie’s is what Worksop needs and is something a little bit different to other places in town.

If the business takes off in Worksop, an Archie’s could open in Retford.

The bar sells a range of wines starting from £10.95 per bottle

Archie’s will be open Wednesday to Saturday from 11am until 11pm and Sundays from noon until 10pm.
