APPEAL: Man hospitalised with puncture wound after burglary in Gainsborough

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a burglary in Gainsborough which left a man in his 40s with a puncture wound.

Officers were called to an address in Fielding Way just before 1pm on Saturday following reports of a disturbance at the property.

The male householder reported an unknown man and woman entering the address and a scuffle then breaking out between them.

The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment for a puncture wound. His injuries are not life-threatening.

The two offenders fled the property, nothing was taken.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area, or anyone who has any information that may help the investigation, is asked to contact PC 690 Simon Roberts at Gainsborough CID or Lincolnshire Police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 216 of 28/11/2015.
