Appeal after man ATTACKS mobility scooter in Worksop

Police are appealing to find a man who was seen attacking a mobility scooter that was being driven down a Worksop street.

A number of people are believed to have witnessed the incident, at High Hoe Road, in which a man began kicking out at a fully-enclosed, moving mobility scooter on Saturday, November 28.

A force spokesman said the victim was driving his scooter down the road at around 6pm when he approached a man who was walking with two women.

He added: “Once the scooter drew close to the group the man began kicking the front windscreen of the scooter.

“When the victim tried to get out, the man closed the door on him and pinned him inside the scooter.”

The attack ended when a member of the public who was passing by dragged the attacker away.

The attacker then ran off.

Nottinghamshire Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward by calling 101 and quoting incident number 613 of November 28.
