Appeal after Gainsborough knife attack

A MAN was attacked with a knife during an aggravated burglary in Trinity Street on Monday 16th July.

Police are now appealing for information which might lead them to the attacker.

At around 6.45pm a male entered a residential property and demanded money from the occupant.

When the victim refused to hand over any money he was slashed on his arm, chest and head with a knife.

He was then hit with a hard object and his wallet was stolen.

The offender is described as white male, possibly in his 30s, around 5ft 11in tall and of stocky build with an English accent.

He was wearing a black balaclava, dark short sleeved T-shirt with a motif on the front, dark blue jeans and dark gloves.

The victim may have injured the offender’s face during the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident or who can identify the suspect should contact DC 1409 Kennedy on 101 at Gainsborough CID, quoting incident 393 of 16th July.
