Peter Stead, 50, said he was called Danny Kay and allegedly tricked pub landlords out of cash in the summer of 2009.

In the summer of 2009, a man allegedly tricked pub landlords in Derby out of money by claiming to be Danny Kay - the brother of comedian Peter Kay.

He offered to put on comedy nights to raise money for the Lewis Mighty Fund, a charity raising money for Lewis, who died from neuroblastoma last year, aged seven.

The man was given cash by the landlords to secure the booking but failed to perform.

Officers want to speak to Peter Stead, 50, in connection with the incidents. It is thought that he could be anywhere in the country.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
