Ale firm toasts business award

Springhead Fine Ales was awarded the Company of the Year Award at the North Notts Business Awards 2012 held at Hodsock Priory on 22nd March 2012.

Organised by North Notts Business Connections (NNBC), an exciting evening of celebration was enjoyed by many of the region’s local firms, hosted by Matt Jones of Trax FM and Paul Mallatratt of The Turbine Innovation Centre.

Guests were also entertained by highly acclaimed violinist, Alexandra Parker, and Worksop magical Daniel Saul.

The entries for this year’s awards were received from a multitude of business across industry sectors and an independent judging deliberated for many hours in choosing the worthy winners.

An organiser said: “All of the finalists and winners should be congratulated for their achievements and represent inspiration and motivation not only to the existing business community, but also to those just staring out and the various government initiatives supporting regeneration and the recovery.”

Managing Director of Springhead Fine Ales Helen Teasdale collected the award.

“We are delighted to be recognised as a leading North Notts business. Since our move to Laneham a year ago the brewery has gone from strength to strength,” she said.

“We look forward to continuing this trend and generating employment and revenue for the local area.”

The Successful New Business Award was won by Retford based No Offence! CIC,

Chief Executive Sue Clifford said: “We are thrilled, delighted and humbled to receive the Successful New Business award, in particular at a time when it is so difficult for so many businesses.”

“To win an award for our work is very exciting but we cannot do what we do without the hard work, dedication and support from our members, volunteers and supporters.”

“People believe in us and what we are doing and this award assures us of that.”
