A working weekend in Aisby

RURAL skills were on show at Aisby & District Working Weekend as visitors flocked to the second annual event.

Beauty and Prince, a majestic pair of working horses, were the stars of the show, ploughing the land with sheer animal strength.

An array of vintage farm machinery was also demonstrated, proving how farming techniques have changed over the years.

Pony rides, spinning demonstrations, and a variety of trade stands kept visitors busy all day long.

And it was all in the name of charity, with nearly £2,000 raised for Cancer Research at Lincoln County Hospital.

“We would like to thank all the people who came and gave their kind contributions,” said Bob Hassell, who helped organise the event.

“Thanks must also go to everyone who participated with their time and effort to make it such a successful day.”
