‘A perfect gift...’

TWO GAINSBOROUGH families are celebrating after welcoming two little miracles into the world - both born on Christmas days.

Proud parents Amanda and Paddie Wilson-Hale were shocked and delighted with their new baby boy James who was born at 4.29am on Christmas Day - weighing 7lbs exactly.

“We were quite surprised because he was supposed to be delivered on 29th December, but I spontaneously went into labour on Christmas Eve,” said Amanda.

“It was absolutely wonderful. It felt surreal to have a new arrival on Christmas Day but there’s definitely something magical about it.”

She continued: “James’ two brothers Christopher and Oliver were a little bit upset when they found out that a baby was coming on Christmas Eve and that Santa might not be - but now they can’t wait to get back to school and tell all their friends that they got a baby brother for Christmas!”

Amanda added: “I’d just like to say a huge thank you to my midwife Linda and her team - they have all been brilliant.”

Aimee Burton and Kevin Fenton said hello to little Lola who was born on Christmas Day at 3.34am, weighing 5lb 11oz.

“She was due on the 19th,” said Aimee. “I’d been in hospital for about three days in slow labour, so we knew she was coming on Christmas Day.”

“Lola was the perfect Christmas present - she’s absolutely fantastic.”

She added: “She got spoilt rotten this Christmas and she’ll definitely be spoilt every year.”

“Lola loved her first Christmas and we can’t stop cuddling her.”
