A harvest of generosity

BLYTON cum Laughton Primary School are celebrating after a very successful Harvest Festival.

The school gathered a remarkable amount of food and gifts to send to good causes.

“It was a really lovely day,” said head teacher Lynne Saint.

“The children really enjoyed it and I was so overwhelmed by how many gifts we were given.”

She continued: “We’re sending the gifts on to the Forge Project in Scunthorpe, which helps to feed vulnerable adults and encourages them to live independent lives.”

Mrs Saint added: “It was a really nice community event and the church was absolutely packed.”

“It was so warm as well - I’ve never known such a hot Harvest Festival!”
