60s night helps our heroes
A SIXTIES night in Dinnington has raised hundreds of pounds to help members of the armed forces wounded in conflict.
Around 150 people came to the event organised by Graham and Anne Mitchell at the Lyric Theatre, on Laughton Road.
Popular 60s cover band Twist and Shout performed and there was also a disco.
Anne and Graham recently handed over a cheque for £500 to Tony Eaton, north-east regional co-ordinator for the Help For Heroes charity.
