Win! Tickets to see Rockin The Park show

CLUMBER Park is gearing up for an exciting musical extravganza this summer and we have tickets to give away for the first concert to kick off the proceedings.

We have teamed up with organisers UK Events to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to Rockin The Park on Friday 17th August.

The day will bring together a day of classic 70s rock and a unique line-up featuring the cream of British rock bands including Brit Floyd, Hawkwind, Focus and Carl Palmer.

Top Pink Floyd tribute band Pink Floyd have performed to over 50,000 fans in the UK during 2011 and are delighted to be headlining Rockin The Park with their brand new show A Foot In The Door.

The band will be giving a free Brit Floyd two-hour live performance DVD to everybody purchasing a ticket to this inaugural gig of what the organisers hope will become an annual event and a firm favourite of rock fans everywhere.

Hawkwind are true professionals, having played for over 40 years at festivals all over the UK, with their 2009 headline performance at Beautiful Days in Devon earning them a nomination at the UK Festival Awards.

They are widely acknowledged as creating a new genre of music - space rock, which led to their massive hit Silver Machine.

Carl Palmer is a drummer’s drummer. A consummate professional, a brilliant technician and a dynamic showman, he has thrilled listeners and audiences alike for nearly four decades.

Along the way his dazzling speed and mastery of the drums, combined with his infectious stage personality, have secured for him a respected place in history as one of rock’nroll’s greatest drummers.

Focus are a Dutch rock band which was founded by classically trained organist/flautist Thijs van Leer in 1969, and is most famous for the instrumental pieces Hocus Pocus and Sylvia.

In 1971, the group released Focus II (aka Moving Waves), which brought the band international acclaim and a hit on both sides of the Atlantic with the radio edit of Hocus Pocus.

Tickets for the event are priced £31.95 and can be bought online at www.ukeventsandproduction.com or by calling 01909 512534.
