WIN! Tickets to rock out at Fake Festival

RETFORD is set to welcome a host of internationally known tribute acts to your doorstep this summer at its very own Fake Festival.

The fun-fuelled festival sees wannabee stars perform homage to some of the greatest rock bands time has seen from around the world.

Bands taking to the main stage at East Retford Rugby Club include The Fillers, Oasish, Four Fighters and a host of local support bands - AND we have two pairs of tickets to be won.

It’s a festival that can make a guarantee like no other – the British weather can’t ruin it because it is held inside a marquee. Hosted inside a big marquee, with high-tech sound and lighting systems for people to enjoy, visitors can relax without the worry of beer and brolly juggling. There’s also a secured area featuring a variety of food stalls, face painting, a bucking bronco, bungee run and bouncy castle, ensuring there’s plenty for families to enjoy too at this community led event.

Now in its sixth year, Fake Festivals founder Jez Lee said: “The 2012 tour is the biggest to date and we’re delighted to be stopping off at Retford again.”

“The idea of Fake Festivals was always to bring that authentic festival feeling to your home town instead of having to travel hundreds of miles and pay hundreds of pounds to experience it.”

“Our bands not only sound like the real thing, but also give such a good performance that you may as well be watching the real band themselves – the only difference with our festival is that our ticket prices are a fraction of the cost of V or T in The Park.”

Trevor Hurley, lead singer of The Fillers, agrees: “For us as a tribute band, it’s all about re-creating the look and atmosphere of the real band and this is what Fake Festivals has achieved with their festival styled event.”

“If you’ve never been to one before, then we recommend you should as it has a real festival feel.”

“We can’t wait to perform Mr Brightside, When You Were Young and Human, plus loads more – we’ll be bringing a bit of Las Vegas to the festival!”
