We have teamed up with The Rubicon to offer five readers a pair of tickets for the opening night on Saturday 6th April.

Opening the exciting first weekend’s line-up is rising star Steve Shanyaski, followed by comedian and writer Andrew Watts and headline act Paul Pirie.

The Rubicon, on Newcastle Avenue, has been developed by local pub and club owner Richard Anthony and will bring a fresh mix of comedy cabaret and music to the area.

With a capacity of 350, it’s long been an aspiration of Richard Anthony’s to run and own his own comedy cabaret club, and he’s looking forward to finally welcoming people through the doors.

He said The Rubicon will bring some of the big acts on the comedy to Worksop but without the big arena prices and in a more intimate venue.

I’ve always wanted to create a place where people can just enjoy a night out without having to travel too far- I didn’t want to open just another venue pub or club - and once The Rubicon opens, I’m sure it’ll help put Worksop on the map even more as a great place to enjoy a night out in the region,” he said.

Tickets for the 8.30pm show, which will finish around 11.30pm and be followed by musical entertainment until 1am, are priced £10 on the door.

To be in with the chance of winning one of five pairs of tickets, simply ans wer the following question.
