WIN! Tickets to see Romeo and Juliet play

KIDS’ favourites Shakespeare 4 Kidz are back - and The Gainsborough Standard have tickets to give away!

The company launches its new musical mini tour of Romeo and Juliet in January and will be visiting one of its own favourite venues – Lincoln’s Theatre Royal.

When it comes to making the Bard’s plays appealing to children Shakespeare 4 Kidz is said to be in a class of its own.

The complicated stories and text are simplified by the use of modern language linking together the most famous and best-loved lines - and there are catchy songs and dances too.

Shakespeare’s tragedy of the star-crossed teenagers is the probably the most famous love story in the world. It’s been retold in countless ways since Shakespeare first put his play on stage some 400 years ago. But never has it been told in the same exuberant child-friendly way which Shakespeare 4 Kidz promise.

Children as young as eight can enjoy this show. And adults who have been put off Shakespeare because they remember boring lessons at school will be amazed at how it shakes up Shakespeare to tell the tale clearly and concisely.

S4K’s Romeo and Juliet is at the Theatre Royal, Lincoln on 20th Friday January at 10.30am and 1.30pm. For tickets call 01522 519999.
