A society spokesman said they are looking forward to welcoming Dr Foyle as part of their birthday celebrations.

“We are very privileged that he has agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to talk to us,” he said.

“Whilst with us we also hope he will cast an approving, professional eye over the recent £1m restoration of the Diamond Jubilee Town Hall but we’re not expecting him to climb on the roof!”

Tickets for the 7.30pm show are £6 (£5 concessions) and include a celebratory glass of wine.

They can be bought from Martin Hollingsworth on 01652 648435 or from the One Stop shop, Market Place, Kirton in Lindsey.
