The Blyth Players are back on stage next month with Willy Russell's Stags & Hens '“ The Remix.

Stags & Hens is a boozy comedy of wedding-eve nerves, set in the ladies and gents loos of a tacky night club where Dave and Linda, unbeknownst to each other, are holding their respective stag and hen parties.

Stag Dave is already the worse for wear after a mix of curry and alcohol.

Meanwhile, Linda’s friends can’t understand why she wants her hen night in such a ‘dive’, but play along, not all of them keeping their opinions to themselves.

Then a blast from the past results in a chance meeting for Linda.

This sharply observed play then turns into a bleakly funny and perceptive study of working class misogyny.

The play is on from May 19 to 21 at Barnby Memorial Hall in Blyth at 7.30pm each night.

Tickets are £7 on 07784 916250 or [email protected]
