Autumn has many flavours; autumn leaf fall, shorter days, clocks going back, harvest celebrations- including pie and pea suppers.
This is often called the ‘season of mellow fruitfulness’, when the heat of the summer is gone, and we think about the coming winter. For me, after the busyness of summer and the coming frantic rush of Christmas, this is a time of pause and reflection. The turn of each season reminds me of God’s plan within creation, how God provides for us and his abiding love for all people. Reverend Rosamunde Page, Carlton Methodist Church.
