The Christian book ‘The Shack’ has sold around 20 million copies.
It shocked its readers in one of two ways – either because they couldn’t cope with God the Father being portrayed as a large, happy black woman, or because the kindness of God in the story seems ‘too good to be true’. The apostle John leaned on Jesus at the last supper, called himself ‘the beloved disciple’ and many years later wrote, ‘God is love.’
Knowing that I’m a precious, loved child of God (at the age of 62!) changes my life. How about you? (And The Shack is a good read.)
