Model railway fun

TRAIN-LOVERS are in for a treat this August Bank Holiday weekend as the UK’s famous ‘O’ gauge model railway in Gainsborough will open its doors to the public.

The massive model railway represents the East Coast Mainline from King’s Cross to Leeds Central. It takes up the whole of a former Victorian school and has been built by members over the last 65 years.

Gainsborough Model Railway Society can be found in Florence Terrace. Admission is £4 for adults, £3 for children/senior citizens and £10 for a family.
