The twang of banjo strings rang out from the usually quiet village of Clowne as the community centre hosted a musical rally.
Banjo players and enthusiasts came from all over the country to indulge in their passion for the plucky instrument.
“It was the first year we’d used Clowne Community Centre as our venue,” said David Wade, organiser of the Midlands and North Banjo Rally.
“And we had such a great day that we’ve already booked for next year.”
