Last chance for scary play

This weekend is YOUR last chance to catch a spooky play from one of Gainsborough’s favourite theatre groups.

The Edge of Darkness is the current production from the Gainsborough Theatre Company - and do they have a treat in store for you.

A chilling mystery play by Brian Clemens, it is set in Victorian England around the turn of the century, and follows the wealthy Cranwell family.

Their daughter Emma has just returned home after being missing for several years.

Suffering from amnesia, she has changed.

She is spooked by a portrait, has a morbid fear of knives, her personality alters at the ring of a bell, and... she speaks Russian.

Why does she seem familiar with certain Russian phrases?

Why does she have such a horror of a seemingly farmless silver bell?

Why the fear of knives?

Why is she so afraid of the portrait on the wall?

More to the point - is she really their daughter, Emma Cranwell?

GTC members Sue Hill, Caroline Hewis, Angie Price, Moe Smith and Kieran Ferry star in this creepy drama.

The Edge of Darkness runs at The Old Nick Theatre, Gainsborough, every evening until Saturday 29th September.

Tickets are priced £8 for adults and £7.50 for concessions and children.
