'˜King of the Keyboards' Brett Wales comes to Gainsborough

Gainsborough Organ & Keyboard Club are delighted to present Nottingham's very own '˜King Of The Keyboards'; Brett Wales in concert at the Weston Rooms, Hickman Street on Thursday, June 28 at 7.30pm.

Born in 1978, Wales has become one of the most popular organ and keyboard personalities in recent times and his diverse programme of popular music sees him in demand for concerts all over the UK and Germany and as far as the USA.

His brand new Wersi Sonic instrument is capable of reproducing just about every sound from the human voice, through to a full orchestra, piano and of course the organ itself with many of his arrangements paying tribute to the one time star German organist, Klaus Wunderlich.

Listeners can expect to hear favourites from Abba, Glen Miller, Strauss, James Last as well as a whole catalogue of favourites from the worlds of the movies, shows, musicals and Latin America. He was featured a couple of years ago on a BBC Radio 4 documentary about organs played at home and his vast catalogue of CD recordings is sure to delight those who want a souvenir of his Lincolnshire visit.

Admission is £4 for members and £5.50 for visitors, more details from Peter Naulls on 01427 615265.
