It’s nearly time for Y Not Festival

GET READY as some of the best names in pop and indie are heading to the beautiful setting of the Peak District at this year’s Y Not Festival.

Set in the Peak District National Park at Pikehall, near Matlock and Chesterfield, this year’s Y Not Festival boasts one of the hottest line-ups that the summer has to offer.

Headlining will be We Are Scientists, The Wombats and The View, not to mention performances from other top acts including Pigeon Detectives, Reverend and the Makers, The Subways, Frightened Rabbit, Future of the Left, Ghost Poet, British Sea Power, Pulled Apart By Horses and many more.

This year there will also be a new rock stage where you can see the likes of Rolo Tomassi, Lower Than Atlantis, The XCERTS, Turbowolf, Brontide, Hadouken and more.

As well as great music and other fun activities and events Y Not Festival prides itself on being a family-friendly festival.

They have a dedicated quiet family camping area situated a few minutes walk from both the main arena and car park. There are showers and toilets in family camping, and last year they picked up the award for Best Toilets’ at the 2011 Festival Awards. The bash also took home the prize for The Grassroots Festival Award in 2011.

Y Not Festival takes place from Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th August.

Tickets are £75 for the weekend (with camping) and kids aged under 12 go free.
