Hit tribute show A Salute to the 1940's is back at Retford
After a year away, A Salute to the 1940's returns to the Majestic Theatre in Retford this weekend.
Since the show was last in Retford, it has been touring around the UK, performing in theatres and 1940’s events.
The show stars Sheffield singer Lorrie Brown who is the UK’s leading Vera Lynn tribute and recently had the honour of meeting the great lady herself.
As well as Lorrie performing in the show, the audience will have a chance to see tributes to many of the stars of the 1940’s including George Formby, Gracie Fields, The Andrews Sisters and GI Frank Sinatra.
This year a couple of new acts have been added to the show in the form of Max Miller, and Lofty and Sergeant Major from the classic BBC comedy, It Ain’t Half Hot Mum.
The show is at the Majestic Theatre on Saturday, June 11 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £12.50 and £11 from the box office on 01777 706866 or www.majesticretford.com
