Hip-hop duo to head to Sheffield

HIP-HOP superstars Jay Z and Kanye West are bringing their Watch The Throne tour to Sheffield this month after five massive sell-out shows at London’s O2 Arena.

The long-time friends and music innovators will be performing at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on Thursday 21st June.

Both Jay Z and Kanye West have each appeared as guests on the other’s stage and now they come together for an explosive performance - not only from their collaboration but also songs from their classic catalogue.

The Watch The Throne London concerts sparked rave reviews from critics, including GQ magazine saying: “An awe-inspiring, world-conquering performance - this is the standard by which all stadium hip-hop will bow and be judged.”

Clash said: “Jay and Kanye are well and truly sitting on top of the hip-hop throne, with no contenders remotely in sight of knocking them off anytime soon.” While The Evening Standard wrote: “This battleship pairing offered an epic 150 minute experience, with no support acts and two greatest hits sets for the price of one.”

Doors to the event open on Thursday 21st June at 7.15pm. Tickets are priced £55 and £47.50 (subject to a booking fee) and can be booked in person at the Arena box office, via the website at www.motorpointarenasheffield.co.uk or by calling 0114 2565656. Tickets are limited to six tickets per person and the standing area is not recommended for under 14s.
