Forest legends in the spotlight

Ever wondered what it takes to be champions of Europe, twice? A string of football legends who wore the famous Garibaldi are set to give audiences an insight into a dressing room governed by the irreplaceable Brain Clough.

Those who played under him at Nottingham Forest including, Colin Barrett, Garry Birtles, Ian Bowyer, Kenny Burns, Frank Clark, Larry Lloyd, John McGovern, John O’Hare, John Robertson, Tony Woodcock and Chris Woods will all come together at the Royal Concert Hall, in Nottingham, on 3rd March next year.

These legendary players will reminisce about life with the Reds in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

One League Championship, two European Cups and two League Cups made Nottingham Forest Football Club one of the most feared and respected clubs in Europe during this period.

Forest became one of the few teams - and the most recent team to date - to win the English First Division Championship a year after winning promotion from the old second division in 1977-78.

In 1978–79, the Reds went on to win the European Cup by beating Malmö 1–0 in Munich’s Olympic Stadium and retained the trophy in 1979–80, beating Hamburg 1–0 in Madrid thanks to an outstanding performance by goalkeeper Peter Shilton.

The team was full of internationals at the time and represent the club’s most successful years.

The players will reveal the motivation and determination that drove them on to this amazing success.

With stories and laughs a plenty, this evening is guaranteed to be the one show that football fans will be talking about for many years to come.

Also appearing on the night will be special guests and ex-Forest players Stan Bowles and Charlie George.

The evening will be compared and hosted by ex-Premier League referee, Dermot Gallagher, and organisers have promised to include a few surprises along the way.

With some of the players who made Nottingham Forest the Kings of Europe, live on stage together, this is an evening that any true Forest fan will not want to miss!

Tickets are priced £20 each with VIP tickets available at the front of the stalls for £70, which includes a Champagne Reception and the opportunity to have photographs taken with the players before the show. Visit or call the box office on 0115 989 5555 for further information or to buy tickets.
