Folk star heading to Trinity

ACCLAIMED folk singer Vin Garbutt is heading to Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre in the new year.

Regarded as a powerful, moving, warm, humane, inspired, funny and gut-wrenchingly honest star of the folk scene, Vin Garbutt is an international, award-winning, singer songwriter is completing his 42nd year on the road.

Among his many accolades, Vin has twice previously been the proud recipient of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards’ Best Live Act Award 2001, as well as picking up the honorary degree of Master of Arts by Teesside University for his music and services to the arts and culture in the North East of England.

Last year also saw the release of the biopic film Teesside Troubadour - documenting Vin’s life and career. Back in 1972, he recorded his first album for Bill Leader - The Valley Of Tees.

This firmly established him as a singer and songwriter of fine socially conscious, and environmentally aware songs

Vin Garbutt will appear at Trinity Arts Centre, Gainsborough on Saturday 28th January.
