Fantastic flowers

Margaret Conway was praised for her hard work when she won the first prize in the senior citizen garden competition organised by local housing association Acis Group.

“I am very proud of achieving such an accolade,” she said.

“When I entered the competition it never occurred to me that it covered three counties, which makes winning even more of a surprise.”

She continued: “I am so excited that all the hard work as been recognised in such a way.”

“I love gardening. Each morning there is something different to look at.”

Margaret added: “I am already planning a different look to the garden ready for next years competition. Work on the garden is never finished but never boring, - even in winter the works goes on and on.”

“We only have a small garden so get the spade and trowels out of the shed and join me in the competition next year, good luck to all who have a go.”
