Easter piano duet concert

This weekend will see Clowne host the Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir, one of the largest and best-known choral groups in the area, performing with the Scott brothers and singing the glorious Brahms’ Requiem, in German.

Pianists Jonathan and Tom, accustomed to playing the best venues in the UK and beyond, such as the Hallé, the Albert Hall and now Clowne’s Heritage High School, play two duets from Bach and Schubert.

A show spokesman said the choir will then join them for this ‘life-affirming’ and ‘melodious’ Requiem.

“It’s rare to be able to hear and see such talent without having to travel far, and for them to play on the one piano is a rare treat,” she said.

“It’s enough to make you forget this ‘spring’ weather!”

Tickets for the show on Saturday 6th April at Heritage High School in Clowne are priced £12 adults, £10 senior citizens and £5 for children, students, unemployed and concessions.

Tickets are available on the door or from choir members.
