Don meets Don as Chapeltown prepare to go Singin' in the Rain again

Chapeltown Amateur Operatic Society (CAOS) return to Rotherham's Civic Theatre next month to perform Singin' in the Rain.

Many people will know the lead character in the film version, Don Lockwood was played by the iconic actor, singer and dancer Gene Kelly.

The last time CAOS performed the show, in 2002 Malcolm Hide played Don.

And Malcolm has joined the Sheffield company again for this return to the piece, this time in a cameo role as the talking man on the screen.

Malcolm is pleased to be part of CAOS once more and although the role he is playing will be filmed, he already attended rehearsal and was pleased to meet Jonny White who will be playing Don Lockwood this time around.

The show will hit Rotherham Civic Theatre from April 12 to 16.
