Band frontman John Reilly will initially venture to Letwell this weekend for an acoustic show with Canadian keyboards player Lewis Nitkman on Saturday, May 28.

The rest of the band – bass player Andy Needham, lead guitarist Pete Hiley and drummer Darren Ford – will join them for two shows on June 28 and 29 as part of their annual Dolphin Festival.

Letwell has hosted the festival each summer since 2009 with the event selling out every year.

Promoters Martyn Sharpe and Steph Varah say the relationship between the band and village has grown and grown over the years with John, Andy, Pete and Darren now adopted as honorary Letwell citizens.

Martyn said: “The summer wouldn’t be the same without the band coming to the village, it’s become a tradition over the years.

“Everybody looks forward to the shows now, they’ve become a fixture in Letwell’s calendar.

“The band are used to playing big venues and they’ve filled Sheffield City Hall many times, so to see them up close playing in front of 70 or 80 people at our little hall is quite something.”

Limited tickets for the shows are available from Martyn or Andy Swift on 01909 731626 or 01909 540694.
