Book for Picnic and Pavarotti

THERE’S still time to book your place for one of summer’s most eagerly anticipated classical music events.

A wonderful world of great opera, late summer sun and beautiful historic surroundings come together with Picnic and Pavarotti at Hodsock Priory on Sunday 9th September.

The highlight of the afternoon of classical favourites and popular music hits in the beautiful 800 acre grounds will be a performance by celebrated Pavarotti impersonator Carl Taylor, who will be joined on stage by popular South Yorkshire soprano Deborah Norman.

Although tickets for the afternoon will cost £15 on the day, advance tickets are still available at just £12.50 at www.lost-chord.org.uk or by calling 01709 811160.

And all proceeds from the event – sponsored by Bristol Street Peugeot of Worksop, Peacock Windows of Worksop have joined Maltby funeral director Jeremy Neal - will be going to dementia charity Lost Chord, the organisation that provides interactive musical experiences for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across the region.

The afternoon’s Musical Director is acclaimed pianist and Lost Chord musician David Barnard, said Picnic at the Priory promises to be an event which will appeal to all tastes and ages.

The event runs from 3 to 6pm, and the gates open at 12.30pm for picnickers.
