Bolshoi Live is back with Don Quixote screened from Moscow next month


Cervantes’ eccentric hero Don Quixote sets off with his loyal squire Sancho Panza on journey full of adventures in search of his perfect woman.
Along the way he meets Kitri, the dazzling daughter of an innkeeper, who he thinks might be his ideal love.

Hide AdFirst brought from Russia to the rest of the world by Anna Pavlova’s company in 1924, Don Quixote is today considered of the one of the great classical ballets and continues to enchant audiences around the world.
The Bolshoi’s panache and excellence are combined in Fadeyechev’s critically acclaimed staging of this exhilarating performance with Leon Minkus’ famous score, including the Grand Pas de Deux.
Featuring brand new sets and costumes to accompany this colourful and technically challenging production, Don Quixote is quintessential Bolshoi, abounding with life.
This brand new production also features choreography by Alexei Fadeyechev (after Marius Petipa and Alexander Gorsky), libretto by Marius Petipa (after Miguel de Cervantes) and is danced by the Bolshoi principals, soloists and Corps de Ballet.
The screening takes place on April 10 at 4pm.
