A spooky tale to read and watch

THE POPULAR Lunchtime Literature sessions return this month to explore the classic horror story The Turn Of The Screw followed a screening of the iconic adaptation The Innocents.

Written by the absolute master of psychological exploration, Henry James’ The Turn Of The Screw is a ghost story that may or may not even have ghosts.

Is the governess moral and sane, or prurient and mad? Come along and join the discussion.

The Innocents is arguably the best British psychological horror film ever made - featuring Deborah Kerr as the Victorian governess of two increasingly evil children who drive her to the point of madness.

Dr Jane Mackay presents Lunchtime Literature: Henry James’ Turn Of The Screw on Wednesday 26th October at 12pm. Tickets are £6.50 including a hot drink.

A screening of The Innocents follows at 2pm with tickets costing £3.
