the ATTACKS were vicious and quite unprovoked, said Inspector D. Fraser, to Eckington magistrates on Monday, when Peter Murcott (27) of Neal Street, Clowne admitted unlawfully and maliciously wounding two Clowne men, Mr Peter Orwin, of Hickinwood Crescent, and Mr Harold Martin, of North Road.

Murcott was sent to prison for six months on each charge, the sentences are to run concurrently.

The incident took place around 10.10pm at the Anchor Inn in Clowne on December 3rd and were classed as very serious.
