Run The Wall’s Chris and Sarah Johnson will host a prize draw on Facebook each day - with prizes including sports massages, free MOTs, afternoon teas and beauty treatments.

The raffle is the latest edition of the Run The Wall campaign - which funds a special support service for the children of those suffering with cancer.

Mum-of-two Sarah - who is currently awaiting surgery for her second mastectomy - started the campaign after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

PE teacher Sarah, 43, was due to run the length of Hadrian’s Wall - 90 miles coast-to-coast - in May until the Covid-19 pandemic had made it impossible.

However since then the couple have ploughed on with individual virtual events during the restrictions - where novice athletes across Worksop complete set miles while raising money for the campaign.

During a Halloween Dash runners across the town raised over £3,000 completing various distances - including 5km, 10km, half marathons and marathons.

Chris and Sarah - who still plan on running Hadrian’s Wall in May next year - have now raised over £37,000 with help from kind members of the community.

Thrilled Chris, 42, said he was ‘humbled’ by the raffle gifts donated by local businesses - especially during the pandemic.

He said: “A lot of them aren’t even able to open at the moment but they’re still trying to support a charity - which is great.”

Donations have come from New Focus Photography, Smiths Sports Therapy, Jo Gray, The Elmtree, Body Shop, A619 Diner, BoKay, Carlton MOT Centre, La Maisonette Beauty Boutique, Aldi, Darfolds Garden Centre, Jackie Robson, Atkinson Auto Tech and Once Upon a Wooden Tale.

Run The Wall are also launching a Santa Dash event - from December 1 until the last weekend before Christmas.

The event is themed around the 12 days of Christmas with runners starting with one mile, then two until they reach 12 miles on their final run.
