Dr Tim Noble is set to take on the role of medical director for the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an executive director, the post-holder is responsible for the successful delivery of quality patient care and provides leadership to the organisation’s 600 medical, dental and surgical colleagues.

Dr Noble is currently one of the trust’s deputy medical directors and oversees professional standards for medical teams throughout the organisation. Prior to this, he oversaw the hospitals’ respiratory medicine service, as well as undertaking two clinical director posts over the years.

He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed. As a trust, we have some incredibly talented health professionals, and, working alongside the extended team, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to build upon the impressive work of my predecessor, Mr Sewa Singh, and further improve the quality of care, treatment and experience that we offer to our patients. These are changing times for the NHS. With an increased focus on technology, as well as an appetite to do things differently, I think it presents an incredible opportunity to advance what we do as a trust, enhancing safety, working smarter and ultimately, being better for local people.

“As someone who has spent a great deal of my working life caring for the people of Worksop and the wider area, I am incredibly passionate about this trust.”
