Coronavirus: Nottinghamshire's confirmed case rate rises to 336

Coronavirus continues to rip through the county as the confirmed case rate rises to 336 in Nottinghamshire.

The figures were released by Public Health England today (Friday, April 3) as part of their daily update.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs King’s Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital, announced that 25 people who test positive for COVID-19 have died so far.

Nottingham, which is classed as a separate area, has 161 confirmed cases.

Across the entirety of the UK, 38,168 have tested positive for COVID-19. A total of 3,605 people who tested positive have died- an increase of 684 in a single day.

Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen would address the nation in a special broadcast over the outbreak on Sunday at 8pm.

The broadcast will be the Queen’s fourth ‘special address’ during her 68-year reign, outside of her annual Christmas Day speeches.
