A spokesperson for the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said it represented another decrease since last week and signified the Trust is ‘going in the right direction’.

They said: “The breakdown of this is nine at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, two at Bassetlaw Hospital and, for the third-week running, zero at Montagu Hospital.

"The age range is between 41 and 76. We wish everyone with us receiving treatment related to COVID-19 the very best in their ongoing recovery.”

Bassetlaw Hospital is almost Covid-free.

But despite an easing of lockdown restrictions across the country, residents are still warned to follow Covid measures to help keep the virus at bay.

“Please stay sensible and remember to observe hands, face and space, and the rules wherever you are.”

"We have made up significant ground against COVID-19, let’s keep it up as we move into the summer months.”
