And 93 per cent of children were offered their parents’ first preference school for a reception place – 8,105 students out of a total of 8,681 that applied on time for a school place.
Nottinghamshire County Council says nearly 99 per cent of students will have been offered one of their four preferred schools.

Its says those who are happy should accept the offer and the school will be in touch.
Parents who are unhappy with the place offered should view the council’s website regarding the options available, including information about how to appeal.
The council’s service director for children, families and cultural services, Marion Clay said: “This is positive news for parents across the county who are receiving their school place offers today.”
