The new restaurant, launching on Retford Road on Thursday, March 18, is operating in line with Covid-19 restrictions- offering drive-thru, McDelivery and takeaway.

The restaurant also has planning permission to create a play area for children to enjoy in the future.

Local franchisee Bob Meadowcroft, who owns and operates the new branch, said: “We are delighted to be opening this new restaurant and we’re so looking forward to getting to know more of the local community.”We’d like to thank our hardworking crew and our new customers in advance for their support and patience as we continually adapt to the safest ways of working during the pandemic.”

The new restaurant will boast the latest innovations from McDonald’s such as self-service kiosks and digital Drive-Thru menu boards.

The My McDonald’s App will be available to use at the restaurant, allowing customers to order and pay for their meal ahead of time with the chance to collect digital McCafé loyalty points.

Customers should expect several Covid-19 measures in place to help keep them and employees safe.

These measures include social distancing in the kitchens and service areas, perspex screens at Drive-Thru windows, employees wearing protective equipment and floor markings.

The restaurant will also operate with a smaller than usual team and customers are encouraged to pay by contactless payment methods and use the My McDonald’s App to order and pay ahead.
