Pubs and cafes in Worksop that have transformed their outdoor areas ready for opening on Monday
With just days to go until pubs and eateries with outdoor seating are allowed to reopen, Worksop venues have been busy updating their outdoor areas for customers dreaming of that first pint or sandwich in the sun.
The Station Hotel is just one of them having launched a brand new outdoor seating area in preparation for thirsty customers flocking back from Monday.
The Carlton Road pub now boasts seating for up to 20 people outside, plus more seating on the lawn.
The venue will be serving drinks and food from 3 -10pm from Monday April 12, before hopefully reopening fully in May.
The bar has been refurbished with new lines of beers and lagers plus a new cocktail line, said the owners, who are ‘praying for good weather’ with lots bookings already.
Meanwhile Carlton House Vintage, Arts and Craft Centre, also on Carlton Road, will be offering table service at its new ‘staycation courtyard’ from next week.
From Tuesday, April 13 from 10-4pm, customers hankering for the seaside will be able to enjoy tea and cake under a colourful parasol.
Owner Helen Parry said: “The courtyard is a real sun trap, we always joke that it’s Costa Del Carlton.
“I grew up in the Midlands so the seaside had always seemed like a real holiday to me, and that’s what I wanted to evoke here.
"We’d be silly not to make the most of the beautiful space before we fully reopen later this month.”
