North Notts College group completes new merger

North Nottinghamshire College's umbrella organisation RNN Group has completes its merger with Dearne Valley College, bolstering its presence across the Sheffield City Region.

The formal announcement was made on Wednesday, February 1, and partners those two colleges with Rotherham College and apprenticeship provider RNN Training, and a number of subsidiary companies in specialist training sectors.

Chief executive John Connolly said: “The merger marks a significant milestone for the organisation, increasing our education offer for school-leavers, undergraduates, adults, and employers, and bringing with it many new and exciting opportunities.

Students will benefit from a wider curriculum and improved facilities, while employers will have access to a comprehensive range of training and apprenticeship provision to upskill and grow their workforce. We can now contribute further to our communities and boost economic growth in this region.”

Dearne Valley College will retain its local identity and current campus in Manvers.
