The huge ten-acre maze at School Farm, West Drayton, is now open for families to visit and features an intricate strawberry design as well as a challenge for both adults and children to enjoy.

This one of a kind attraction for Retford and the surrounding areas gives visitors a chance to challenge themselves and solve a puzzle that involves finding letters around the maze, to unscramble a hidden message.

Covid-19 has not impacted the opening of the attraction either as the farm has taken necessary precautions for the current situation and has extended its corn rows to accommodate social distancing within the maze.

Georgia Cooper, Assistant at School Farm, said: “Our professionally designed maze has been extended to comply with the two-metre rule so customers can feel they are safe.

“I’m sure many parents will have exhausted indoor activities during this time, and it means they can explore the maze and farm without a sense of restriction due to COVID -19.

People should visit the maze if they would like a brilliant family day out for a fair price.

“They can bring a picnic and go round the farm for free too where they can look and stroke all the animals including, alpacas, rare breed sheep and more.”

Georgia added: “Our reaction so far has been wonderful, customers have loved the game and the children especially enjoy ringing the bell when they complete the maze.

“They specifically come to tell us they have enjoyed their day, which I think is a great testimony.

“I believe it’s a great experience as they spend all day here at our quaint, family-run little farm, rather than a commercial attraction.

“It’s also a great attraction to Retford tourism and brings a sense of normality at this point of uncertainty.”

The maze will roughly take around 1 to 2 hours to complete and will be open seven days per week throughout September and October.

Tickets are priced at £5 per person, and children 3 and under have free entry.
