Bassetlaw teen musician to get his big break on national television

Olly Barker, from Retford will be feature on a new television program called Youth of Today.
The show puts the spotlight on the 18-year-old who writes, sing and records his own songs, as well as making videos to accompany them.

Olly said: “I am so excited to be featured in this amazing new show.
"It’s the best Easter present ever.”
The show features four of Olly’s songs, all of which deal with different topics and issues.
His song Look to the Stars addresses his concerns for our planet, Janice is a quirky warning about the perils of online dating, The Ballad off AQA is about school examination stress and Pretty Audrey is a teenage anthem of angst, humour and frustration.
Olly is also interviewed in the show and gives an insight into this musical heroes, his hopes and aspirations.

He hopes appearing on the show will bring him to the attention of the music industry.
As well as being a talented artist, Olly is also a popular videographer. His company, W Digital Media, makes promotional and informative videos for local companies.
He has recently completed shooting and editing a stunning video for the opening of the £21million new leisure complex Aspire at the Park in Pontefract.
Youth of Today forms part of a new three hour show called All About the Music’ which will be broadcast on Showcase TV - Sky Channel 191 - Sunday April 4 at 12.45pm.
