Hitmaker Eliot, the city’s Grammy and Ivor Novello award-winning song-writer and producer, will mark 21 years in the business.

And he’s been talking to pop idol friends to celebrate with his biggest fund-raising concert yet, for his One Song Foundation.

It could be at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena, which is also 21 next year.

Bryan Adams - his song-writing partner - members of Blue, SClub, Atomic Kitten and Peter Kay have performed at his Foundation concerts and helped to raise thousands of pounds for cancer and homeless charities.

Now Eliot’s other songwriting regular and best friend Gary Barlow wants to help. And so does Mel C, who Eliot teamed up with Adams to duet on they hit they penned, When You’re Gone.

X Factor stars Andy Abraham, The Reason 4, Katy Bullock, St Elmo’s Fire rocker John Parr, Fame Academy’s Alistair Griffin, big band singer Paul Pashley, West End sensation turned pop star Scott Anson, duo Feelix and singer-songwriter Philippa Hanna performed at his latest event last week at Sheffield Memorial Hall.

Eliot, the new Producer for Artiste Development on the X Factor, wants to do more intimate concerts but said: “I’ve already got the green light from Gary Barlow, Bryan Adams and Mel C. That could be the big one next year.

“The Memorial Hall show felt like my living room with a bunch of friends round, so spontaneous, and it was gorgeous with the mandolin, accordion and guitars. I want to do more shows that size.”
