Worksop: Top Derby chamber choir to sing at The Crossing

Highly-regarded Derby based chamber choir The Sitwell Singers launch a new concert season at Worksop’s The Crossing on Newcastle Street on Saturday 21st September.

Using the re-discovered four hands - one piano accompaniment of Carlo Czerny, the major choral work under musical director Malcolm Goldring will be the breathtaking Mozart Requiem K626.

Additional choral works are four different settings of the Ave Verum Corpus by composers Byrd, Mozart, Saint-Saens and Peter Stopford.

Professional pianists Beate Toyka and Gillian Bithel also play Schubert and Mozart piano duets on the 1929 Bechstein grand piano.
