The top-ranking brass band in the area, they will be playing their Championship Brass Christmas programme at The Crossing town on Saturday, December 5.

Now located in Hardwick Village by courtesy of the National Trust, the band’s championship section calibre will be enhanced by The Crossing’s excellent acoustics.

By working with some of the most talented musicians in the area, the band is able to maintain its reputation for high-standard performances both in concert and competition.

This festive performance also sees the first visit of conductor Stan Lippeatt to the Worksop venue.

Stan has an impressive musical pedigree which includes many years as flugel horn player with Grimethorpe Colliery Band, when he featured in many of their comic routines.

And he regards entertaining the audience as a main priority.

The concert starts at 7.30pm (doors open 6.15pm) and tickets priced £10 (£9 concessions, £4 under-16s) are available now from The Crossing’s Welcome Desk, by calling 01909 475421 or by email at [email protected]
